At the roots of Bungee jumping, there is an initiatory rite that has been practiced for centuries in the heart of the Pacific ocean ( current Vanuatu), and in which brave jumpers leap into the void from the top of a bamboo tower, their feet tied together by lianas.

By doing this, they enter adulthood. Lately, in the thirties, the London aristocracy had fun jumping from bridges over the Thames, hung by rubber latex strips. Then in 1988, we are the first one to practice Bungee jumping in its current form. Since then, millions of people all over the world have dared to take the plunge… The bungee ( elastic cord) is made of around 1000 rubber latex threads. This stuff is a product of rubber tree sap (hevea brasiliensis), a tree from the Amazonian forest, whose farming has spread out into all tropical areas. This is an ecological, renewable and recyclable raw material.
